This series of seminar workshops threw light on key thematic areas central to survival and growth of smaller firms, such as: financing smaller firms; innovation based growth; succession planning in family firms. The series was sponsored by Larnaka-Famagusta Cooperative Savings Society.

The China 2015 Family Business Conference is an academic forum that aims to share leading-edge research and best practice of entrepreneurial development of family businesses. The Conference was hosted by Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) on Sep 4-5, 2015.

MFS Symposium ,Larnaka 2015

The 2015 Multinational Finance Society Symposium was held in Larnaca (Cyprus) on 17-19 April 2015 and was organised by Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) and UCLan Cyprus. The symposium is themed: “The New Era in Financial Intermediation, Stability and Regulation”. CEDAR is a sponsor –supporter.

The Development of Greek Shipping Dynasties, London 2014

CEDAR, in cooperation with and with the support of the Hellenic Centre have hosted the workshop focusing on “The Development of Greek Shipping Dynasties: Succession across Generations”. The 2014 workshop was held at the Hellenic Centre in London and participants represented in addition to founders and successors in multi-generational Greek firms, a number of other stakeholders and services providers serving from London the shipping industry.

The 2014 Multinational Finance Society Symposium, held in Larnaca (Cyprus) on 4-5 April 2014 which was co-organised by Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) and supported by UCLan Cyprus and CEDAR faculty . The Symposium brought together over 120 academic researchers, educators, doctoral scholars , practitioners and policy makers representing academic and financial  international institutions to address  timely financial issues and research pertinent to the  recent financial and economic crisis.

International Family Enterprise Research Academy, Cyprus 2009

The 9th IFERA 2014 World Family Business Research Conference held in Limassol, Cyprus was chaired by CEDAR chair and director and focused on ‘Global Perspectives on Family Business Developments’. The world conference and pioneering policy forum brought together more than 200 scholars, practitioners and policy makers dealing with family business entrepreneurship.
