Ideodromio Annual Programme

The Centre for Entrepreneurial Development, Alliance & Research in collaboration with the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute organise the Business Idea Competition “IDEODROMIO” on an annual basis which aims to encourage entrepreneurship in secondary education in Cyprus.

IDEODROMIO aims to promote creativity and innovation as well as to enhance entrepreneurial skills through a series of entrepreneurial ideas and business plans developed by students.  All schools in secondary education are able to participate in the competition while the registration of the teachers, as well as the principals of the schools, is mandatory.

During each academic year, informative visits are conducted by both CEDAR and the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute to inform students, teachers and principals regarding the nature of IDEODROMIO as well as the eligibility criteria for their participation.

Interested schools can apply for two different categories. The first category refers to gymnasium students and the second category to high school and technical school students. Each school can participate in the competition with a maximum of two teams. The maximum number of participants in each group is four students, who are supported by one or two supervisors/teachers.

The two best entrepreneurial ideas of every category receive the following awards:

1. Best Innovative Entrepreneurial Idea Award

2. Best Social and Green Entrepreneurship Award

The teams that are selected for the final phase of the competition are invited to present their business ideas during the Entrepreneurial Day at UCLan Cyprus University, where the Awards Ceremony takes place. More information regarding the competition, rewards and sponsors of the awards are announced during the first informative visit.

IDEODROMIO PROGRAMME 2024-2025
