The Centre for Entrepreneurial Development, Alliance and Research organized with great success, at the framework of the Erasmus+ European Program Key Action 154 – “Youth Participation Activities in the Youth Sector” and especially in the context of the Project entitled: “Consultation between young people and Policymakers”, the 1st of a Series of 14 Open Dialogues with Youth on Political issues and their involvement with the local community. The opening action of open dialogue was led by the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Annita Dimitriou. Mrs. Dimitriou had the opportunity to discuss her personal experience with young people her engagement with the commons, as well as the reasons that prompted her to select this choice. The young people, under the guidance of Mrs. Dimitriou and the members of the CEDAR , had the opportunity to discuss their concerns regarding the impact that their engagement with the public, political and democratic life in Cyprus, but also the ways in which they can be involved in them. The young people, coming from areas of the Provinces of Larnaca, Famagusta and Nicosia, responded enthusiastically to the invitation of Mrs President to seize the opportunity and deal with issues that concern society and their generation both in the community and at a national level, through the actions organized by the Parliament of Representatives, but also through their participation in the political parties that better represent them.
